These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the NoteX: AI Note Taker application software, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through the app available on Google Play and the App Store and Website at notexapp.com (collectively, the "Service").

2. Eligibility

  • Must be at least 13 years old
  • Not previously suspended or removed
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

3. User Accounts

  • Accurate and complete information required
  • Responsible for password confidentiality
  • Accountable for all account activities

4. Secure Content Storage and Rights

NoteX securely stores and protects your content with:
  • End-to-end encryption for all stored content
  • Secure cloud storage infrastructure
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Protected access controls
You retain full ownership rights to your content, and Sotalabs:
  • Ensures secure storage and processing
  • Maintains confidentiality of your data
  • Implements industry-standard security measures
  • Provides transparent data handling practices

5. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:
  • Use the Service illegally
  • Violate third-party rights
  • Post objectionable content
  • Interfere with security features
  • Upload malicious code

6. Payment Terms

App Store Purchases (iOS)
  • Subject to Apple's payment terms
  • Apple handles all transactions
  • Apple's refund policy applies
Google Play Purchases (Android)
  • Subject to Google Play's payment terms
  • Google handles all transactions
  • Google Play's refund policy applies
Website Purchases (notexapp.com)
  • Processed by Lemon Squeezy
  • 14-day refund window
  • Refund Exceptions:
    • Downloaded digital content
    • Used services
    • Fraudulent requests

7. Video Templates and Content License

Background Video Templates
Background video templates are sourced from Pixabay and subject to Pixabay's Content License
Users must not:
  • Redistribute or sell templates separately
  • Use templates containing trademarks/logos for commercial purposes
  • Use templates in misleading or illegal ways
  • Use templates as trademarks or business identifiers
  • Users are responsible for checking any additional rights (copyrights, trademarks, etc.) that may apply to specific templates
  • Creative modification of templates is required - standalone use is prohibited
FFmpeg Software License
This app uses FFmpeg (http://ffmpeg.org), which is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) version 2.1 or later. The FFmpeg source code used in this application is available upon request via email at hello@notexapp.com. This software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Users must:
  • Acknowledge FFmpeg's usage
  • Comply with LGPL license terms
  • Contact hello@notexapp.com to obtain the FFmpeg source code

8. Modifications and Termination

Sotalabs reserves the right to:
  • Modify terms with notice
  • Update service features
  • Adjust pricing
  • Discontinue services

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

  • Service provided "as is"
  • No warranties of any kind
  • Limited liability for damages
  • No responsibility for user content

10. Data Deletion

You may request data deletion by:

  • Verifying your identity
  • Following applicable procedures
Exceptions to deletion:
  • Illegal activity detection
  • Outstanding transactions
  • Unresolved disputes
  • Legal retention requirements
